As head of the business services department, Matthew has a thorough understanding of the legal issues which face businesses at every stage of development. He joined Ilett & Clark in 1990 and has built long relationships with clients in both the private and public sector. Matthew has a strong interest and many years’ experience clerking for public bodies. He has the distinction of being the first solicitor in Britain to graduate with the ICSA Certificate in Further Education College Governance. Actively involved in the local community, he is a member of the Business in the Community Pro-Help scheme and an East Midland Development Agency Business Champion and his achievements have been recognised by his inclusion in Who's Who in Britain's Business Elite. His main leisure interests include mountain climbing, travel and military history.
